Order Entry
The following Encounter POS topics are related to Order Entry procedures.
Single Lane Drive-Thru
Order Entry
Enter the order.
Select Total to receive the total amount.
Select New Order to store the order.
Cashier Functions
To view the next order to tender, select Oldest Unpaid.
Type the currency amount and select the applicable pay type.
For steps to tender an order with a credit card, see Credit Payments / Manual Entry.
Once the vehicle is served at the window, select Served.
Dual Lane Drive-Thru
Order Taking
Enter the order.
Select Total to receive the total amount.
Select New Order to store the order.
Cashier Functions
Select Oldest Unpaid to view the next order to cash out.
Type the tender amount.
Select the applicable pay type to tender the order.
Serve the Order
Select Oldest Unserved to view the next paid, unserved order.
Once the order is served to the customer, select Served.
Substitute Items
From the Build Area
Highlight the item to substitute.
Select the panel with the desired item screen.
Select the substitute item.
From the Virtual Receipt Area
Highlight the item to substitute.
Select Substitute.
Select the panel with the desired item screen.
Select the substitute item.
Delete Item
Opmerking
When a combo meal item is deleted, the combo meal is broken up.
From the Build Area
Select Clear.
From the Order Area
From the virtual receipt, touch the item to highlight it.
Swipe the Manager card using the card reader.
Select Delete.
Waste Item
Whole Waste (from Order Entry Terminal)
Opmerking
It is recommended to perform Waste transactions from a front counter terminal so that speed of service is not affected.
Select New Order.
Swipe the Manager card using the card reader.
Select Waste.
Ensure WSTE appears at the top of the virtual receipt.
Select the items to waste.
Select Waste a second time.
A Waste ticket prints with the currency amount.
Raw Waste (from Management Console)
Select the Inventory tab.
Select the Tasks tab.
Select Waste Items.
Type the waste counts in the provided fields.
Select Submit.
