Create a Xenial Ordering Menu
Create product menus for the Ordering application using the Menu editor. Populate the menus with the product and modifier records that were previously created with the Product List and Modifier List editors.
To create a menu:
From the Xenial Portal, select Data Management.
From the Ordering Settings menu, select Menu Layout.
Select Menu.
Select Create Menu.
Configure the record as needed.
Define General Settings for a Menu

To define general settings for a menu:
From the pane on the left, open the General page.
In the Name field, type a name for the menu. This field is required.
In the Sort Order field, type the ordinal number for this menu in relation to the other menus. The Sort Order value defined for each menu determines the order in which the menus are sorted and displayed at the POS.
Define Availability Settings for a Menu

To define availability settings for a menu:
From the pane on the left, open the Availability page.
Locate the Availability section.
Set the Active toggle to Active if the menu is available for use at the site.
Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.
To restrict the availability of the menu to particular order sources (e.g. Mobile App, Website, and Restaurant Terminal):
Locate the Order Sources section.
Set the Allow Order Source Restriction toggle to On.
For each listed order source where the menu is available, set the Available toggle to Yes.
To restrict the availability of the menu to particular order destinations:
Locate the Destinations section.
Set the Allow Destination Restriction toggle to On.
For each listed order destination where the menu is available, set the Available toggle to Yes.
To restrict the availability of the menu to particular time periods:
Locate the Time Periods section.
Set the Allow Time Periods Restriction toggle to On.
For each listed time period where the menu is available, set the Available toggle to Yes.
Opmerking
The Order Sources section is populated with records created using the Order Source editor.
The Destinations section is populated with records created using the Order Destination editor.
The Time Periods section is populated with records created using the Time Period editor.
Each of these editors is accessible from the Ordering Settings > Settings menu.
Add Menu Categories to a Menu

To add menu categories to a menu:
From the pane on the left, open the Menu Categories page.
Select Add Menu Categories.
From the Add Menu Categories popup window, select the menu categories to include on the menu.
Select Add [#] Menu Categories.
From the Menu Categories page, select and drag the square to the left of the listed menu categories to sort them in the desired sequence.
Opmerking
The Add Menu Categories popup window is populated with records created using the Menu Category editor, which is accessible from the Ordering Settings > Menu Layout menu.
Perform Actions on a Menu
To perform an action on a menu:

From the Menu editor homepage, select the menu.
From the right of the Type column, select the 3-dot menu.
The following actions are available:

Edit the menu properties.

Delete the menu.
Duplicate
Create a copy of the menu.
Add Menu Category
Create a new menu category and link it to the menu.
From the Create New Menu Category window:
In the Name field, type a name for the menu category.
(Optional) To open an editor and define the properties of the menu category immediately, select Open in editor after creation.
Select Done.
Perform Actions on a Menu Category

To perform an action on a menu category:
From the Menu editor homepage, select the menu.
From the left of the menu name, select the plus sign + to expand the menu components.
Select the menu category.
From the right of the Type column, select the 3-dot menu.
The following actions are available for the selected menu category.

Remove the association between the menu category and its menu.

Add Menu Item Group
Create a new menu item group and link it to the menu category.
From the Create New Menu Item Group window:
In the Name field, type a name for the menu item group.
(Optional) To open an editor and define the properties of the menu item group immediately, select Open in editor after creation.
Select Done.

To perform an action on an existing menu item group:
From the Menu editor homepage, select the menu.
From the left of the menu name, select the plus sign + to expand the menu components.
Locate the menu category that contains the menu item group.
To the left of the menu category name, select the + symbol to expand its components.
Select the menu item group.
From the right of the Type column, select the 3-dot menu.
The following actions are available for the selected menu item group.

From the Menu editor homepage, select the menu.
From the left of the menu name, select the plus sign + to expand the menu components.
Locate the menu item group that contains the product.
To the left of the menu item group name, select the + symbol to expand its components.
Select the product.
From the right of the Type column, select the 3-dot menu.
The following actions are available for the selected product.
