Notifications

Notifications appear in the upper-right of the Main Screen. Notifications are an optional feature and are typically configured during the initial setup.

Notifications appear for the following reasons:

Notification

Description

Missed Day Part Goal

The overall average wait-time for a segment of the drive-thru has exceeded the configured goal for the current day part.

Vehicle Missed Goal

A specific vehicle wait-time has exceeded the configured goal for a particular segment of the drive-thru.

Slowpoke Vehicle

A specific vehicle's travel time from one segment of the drive-thru to the next has exceeded 90 seconds (1 minute, 30 seconds) and was removed from the display.

Sensor Issues

Trouble communicating with the vehicle detector.

Alerts

Alerts appear in the upper-right of the main screen.

Alerts appear for the following reasons:

Alert

Description

Sensor Issue

Occurs when vehicle detections in one segment of the drive-thru are significantly less than another.

Unable to Read Sensor Information

Occurs when The Drive-Thru Director is unable to communicate with the GPIO Board.

If this issue occurs, check the USB connection between the DTD Media Player and the GPIO Board.

It is also possible that the GPIO Board is configured incorrectly.

Communication issue

If the Communication Issue alert appears, contact Xenial Support.

Vehicle Stuck in Queue

Occurs when a possible vehicle detection issue is detected.

The alert clears after 3 vehicles are successfully detected within a predetermined amount of time.

If this issue continues, contact the vehicle detection manufacturer to diagnose and address the issue.

Database Maintenance

Occurs when database maintenance is in progress. Do not turn off the DTD Device while this alert is visible.

Database Issue

If the Database Issue alert is received, contact Xenial Support.

Stuck on Payment Sensor

Occurs when the vehicle detector located at the payment window is not working as expected.

Time Synchronization in Progress

Occurs when the DTD Device is attempting to establish a connection to the host server.

Sensor Issue Notice

When a single vehicle detection is sustained for more than 15 minutes, a Sensor Issue Notice appears on the screen.

A sustained detection may occur for the following reasons:

  • A vehicle is stationary for an extended period of time.

  • The vehicle detection system is powered off or was powered off during closing—the vehicle detection system must receive power at all times.

  • The vehicle detection system is stuck in an on/off position.

If this issue continues, contact the vehicle detection manufacturer to diagnose and address the issue.

The Sensor Issue Notice displays the following details:

  • The drive-thru location that is experiencing the issue.

  • The time the issue first occurred.

  • The current time.

  • Sensor issue history—How many instances of a sensor issue occurred in the past:

    • 24 Hours

    • 7 Days

    • 30 Days

When a Sensor Issue Notice occurs, Drive-Thru Director attempts to clear the notice by performing a self-test. This self-test is displayed on the screen. Once Drive-Thru Director has received three (3) consecutive pairs of vehicle detections from both the menu board and the pickup window, the Sensor Issue Notice clears and the Main Screen returns.

Anmerkung

Sites configured with Dual Lane (Y-Layout) clear the Sensor Issue Notice after three (3) consecutive vehicle detections from either menu board.

Wichtig

Drive-thru events that occur during a Sensor Issue do not appear on reports.
