Xenial Cloud Portal Settings and Tools Languages

Use Languages to perform Xenial Cloud language translation functions, including:

  • Add and manage the list of languages that the company supports.

  • View the list of site assignments for each language.

  • Import translation files.

  • Generate and export translation files.

Anmerkung

To set the preferred language for a company, see Setup the Company Profile.

Add Language

To add languages to the list of supported languages:

  1. From the upper-right of the Languages homepage, select Add Language.

  2. From the Add Language window, select the language(s).

  3. From the lower-right of the Add Language window, select Add [#] Item.

Manage Language Files

To manage a language file:

  1. From the Languages homepage, select the square to the left of the language.

  2. From the Actions dropdown, select Edit Language.

  3. From the menu pane on the left, select a page and define the respective settings.

    The following describes the pages of the Languages editor.

    Description

    General

    In the Name and Label fields, view the name and label defined for the language.

    In the Description field, type an optional description of the language.

    Imports

    Import translation files and view existing files.

    For more details, see Imports.

    Exports

    Generate, export, and download translation files for selected Data Management properties.

    For more details, see Exports.

    Sites Assigned

    View the list of site assignments for each language.

  4. From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.

Imports

From the Imports page of the Languages editor, import translation files for a language.

The following information is provided for each listed translation file:

Column

Description

File Name

Name of the translation file.

Size

Size of the translation file.

Rows Updated

Number of rows that are updated by the translation file.

User

Name of the user that imported the translation file.

Import Status

Indicates the status of the import process.

Date Uploaded

Date when the translation file was imported.

Import Translation File

To import a translation file:

  1. From the Languages homepage, select the square to the left of the language.

  2. From the Actions dropdown, select Edit Language.

  3. From the left menu pane of the Languages editor, select Imports.

  4. From the upper-right of the Translation File Imports homepage, select Import Translation File.

  5. Drag and drop the translation file onto the popup Import window.

    -OR-

    Select select from your computer to browse for the translation file.

  6. From the lower-right of the Import window, select Next.

    Once imported, the file is added to the list on the Translation File Imports homepage. The imported file is activated on all sites that use this translation after the configuration data is refreshed at the sites.

To view details about the imported translation file:

  1. From the Translation File Imports homepage, locate the translation file.

  2. From the 3-dot menu to the right of the file, select View Import Details.

Tipp

Shortcut: From the 3-dot menu on the Languages homepage, select Import Translation TSV to import a translation file for a language.

Exports

From the Exports page of the Languages editor, generate and export translation files for a language.

The following information is provided for each listed translation file export:

Column

Description

File Name

Name of the translation file.

Size

Size of the translation file.

Date Generated

Date when the translation file was generated.

Last Download

Date when the translation file was last downloaded.

Export Translation File

To generate and export a translation file:

  1. From the Languages homepage, select the square to the left of the language.

  2. From the Actions dropdown, select Edit Language.

  3. From the left menu pane of the Languages editor, select Exports.

  4. From the upper-right of the Translation File Export page, select Generate Translation File.

  5. From the Export Translation TSV window, select the Data Management properties to include in the translation file.

  6. From the lower-right of the Export Translation TSV window, select Export # Properties.

  7. From the Set file name and confirm translation export window, type a filename for the translation file.

  8. Select Yes, Begin Export. Please wait while the file is generated.

    Once the export process is complete, Download Translation File.

Tipp

Shortcut: From the 3-dot menu on the Languages homepage, select Export Translation TSV to export the translation file for a language.

Download Translation File

To download an exported translation file:

  1. From the Languages homepage, select the square to the left of the language.

  2. From the Actions dropdown, select Edit Language.

  3. From the left menu pane of the Languages editor, select Exports.

  4. From the Translation File Export page, locate the translation file on the list.

  5. From the right of the record, select the 3-dot menu.

  6. From the 3-dot menu, select Download.

    The TSV file is downloaded to the local machine.

  7. From the Save dropdown in the upper-right, select Save and Close.
