Define Kitchen Screen Settings

The configuration settings for all kitchen screens are set to the default values that are defined using the General Kitchen Settings editor.

To define unique settings for an individual kitchen screen:

  1. (Optional) Select Select Sites to choose the site to set up.

  2. Select Create Kitchen Screen.

  3. From the Choose Screen Type popup, select Basic.

  4. Select Continue to open the General page of the editor.

    • The page names are listed in the pane on the left.

  5. From the General page, define General Kitchen Screen Settings.

  6. In the Basic Configuration section, define Basic Configuration Settings.

  7. In the Toggle Options section, define Toggle Options.

  8. In the Filters section, define Kitchen Screen Filter Settings. These filters determine the type of order items to route to this screen.

    • If you do not define any filters, then all order items are routed to this screen.

  9. In the Ingredient Filters section, define Ingredient Filter Settings. These filters determine the type of order item ingredients to route to the Ingredient Summary Pane.

    • If you do not define any filters, the sum of all ingredients from all screens are displayed on the Ingredient Summary Pane.

  10. In the Animation section, define Animation Settings. These settings determine the animations to play when specific events occur.

  11. In the Menu List section, define Menu List Settings. These settings determine the menus to include on the screen.

  12. In the Panes section, define Panes Settings. These settings determine the additional pane to include on the screen, such as the Ingredient Summary or the Production Forecast Pane.

  13. In the Footer Fields section, define Footer Field Settings. These settings determine the information to display in the kitchen ticket footers.

  14. In the Header Fields section, define Header Field Settings. These settings determine the information to display in the kitchen ticket headers.

  15. In the Sound Maps section, define Sound Map Settings. These settings determine the sound to play when specific events occur.

  16. In the Sorting Rules section, define custom screen sort options. See Sorting Rules.

Note

The kitchen screen records created using the Kitchen Screens editor are available for selection when configuring stations using the Kitchen Stations and Kitchen Schemes editors.
